The Ministry of Women Children and Poverty Alleviation will be closely monitoring the Help for Home initiative.

Permanent Secretary Dr. Josefa Koroivueta says the ministry will ensure the funds given to all beneficiaries are well utilized.

“Yes we on monitoring stage now, we have a data base now by area, by the type of damage, when they receive assistance even down to the m-paisa card, we can now even track and even where they spend their money.”

The government has invested $122million on this project that has helped more than thirty five thousand families affected by Tropical Cyclone Winston.

The initiative was completed last week in Taveuni.
