Today, the government barge Sigavou is taking food, water and clothes to the villagers who are in direct need of the necessities.

The two landslides damaged about 7 homes, destroyed the health centre, the school and the village hall.

Two homes were burnt down by a fire which started from a kerosene stove that fell when the house was displaced during the landslide.
