A heavy rain alert previously in force for Vanua Levu, Eastern parts of Viti Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group is now cancelled.

The Nadi Weather Office says cloudy periods with some showers over the Eastern parts and interior of the larger islands with afternoon or evening thunderstorms and heavy falls.

Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening thunderstorms and heavy falls.
