Forty people are stranded in Ba Town with about 17 vehicles as the Ba market and bus stand area are flooded.

This was confirmed by police who says Ba Town is experiencing a rise in water level and a power blackout.

Vatulaulau Stage 2 is under 2ft of water, Sorokoba Bridge Under 5ft Water and is close to all traffic. Namosau Bridge is under 5ft Water and closed to all traffic.

While Rarawai Cemetery Bridge Rd is closed to all traffic and pedestrians and Kings Road Yalalevu near Nestle, half side of the Road closed

Tuvu Bridge is under 1 ft. of water and not safe to travel on.

Maururu Bridge is closed to all traffic and Tavarau Ram Karan Shop under 1ft of water.

Kings road around Nestle Factory is partly closed and Nailaga Bride is under 1ft of Water.

Sarava Bridge Under 1ft Water with Vutuni Bridge under 4ft water which is closed to all traffic.

Itatoko Flat flooded.

Nasolo Bridge at Vatulaulau is under 4ft water and is close to all traffic.

In Lautoka, water is receding in most of the areas and Saru Bridge is 3ft under water but open to Heavy Goods vehicles.

Rakiraki is also currently experiencing power outage but rain has stopped.

In Tavua, rain has also stopped with some areas flooded including the Nabuna flat and Rukuruku bridge which is under 3ft of water.

In Vatukoula rain is continuing. Korowere bridge is underwater, open to heavy goods vehicles and other bridges are open. Water receded.

Rain has started again in Sabeto but all bridges open to traffic.

Bridge before Fulton College partly washed away and is open for one-way traffic only.

In Namaka there’s no rain.

Nadi is experiencing fine weather and there’s no reports of flooding in Sigatoka.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has confirmed that schools around the country will remain open but are advising parents to take heed of the current weather situations before sending their children to school today.
