Health Minister, Rosy Akbar, says the program aims to reduce the prevalence of non-communicable diseases in the younger generation.

“The program which directly links to the vision of my Ministry is to build a healthy population and what better way to inculcate the message by nurturing the young minds to understand the importance of their health and through this program we are going to build a cadre of health champions who will advocate for healthy living through out their lives.”

The program will be piloted in six schools from next month.
