“The common reports received were poor communication, not making the right diagnosis and the attitude and because of that I am sorry to say but there were two or three doctors that have had to be disciplined in the last year or so through the Ministry of Civil Service.”

The Health Minister says the figures show they have a long way to go to prove their noble profession.

“Take on board seriously – the fact that we serve and we must receive feedback and many at times we must stop and being happy about receiving positive feedbacks but also be happy about receiving negative feedbacks because its opportunities for us to grow.”

More than eighty doctors who graduated in 2017 have completed a year of internship at the three major hospitals and are now ready for a new journey.
