Health Ministry is prioritising the upgrade of medical facilities.

A number of changes are being implemented by the Ministry to ensure better service delivery.

Minister responsible Dr. Iferemi Waqainabete says they are aiming to ensure that medical facilities in rural communities are compatible with those in the main cities.

“You know we’ve been encouraging staff, look after these areas, to just keep on pushing on because it’s now about half way through the financial year to keep on pushing on and make sure that we do all the facility renovations that are supposed to be done that have been budged for.”

He adds at the cornerstone of their 2019 strategy is professionalism, efficiency and ensuring their medical clinics and hospitals are up to par.
