Health Ministry officials received training from a US representative to further ease their work during the mosquito surveillance program.
Environmental Health Officers were trained on how to use the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – Vector App.
The new method of vector surveillance will be piloted in the Central Division early next year and is anticipated to enhance rapid access to information on hot spot areas for mosquito breeding.
The information gathered through this mode will be a vital tool for decision makers in efficiently and effectively planning and implementing interventions.
