Health Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete

The Health Ministry is embarking on a new journey in ensuring mechanisms are in place to strengthen and improve health services in Fiji.

In partnership with the government of Japan, the Ministry is currently having ongoing workshop with senior managers of the Ministry.

The workshop will assist senior officials of the Ministry to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Health Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete says more focus is needed from health officials as the need for more quality care escalates around Fiji.

“A change for the better needs to spread throughout the Ministry of Health and Medical Services as its dominant culture, and there is no better place to start than with us, Leaders. Because a change inside this room will have a ripple effect across divisions and sections throughout our Ministry.”

Dr. Waqainabete says the government will ensure that health officials are well equipped with the tools to deliver a quality service.
