Brazil wishes to increase its profile in Fiji and also assist in all means considering Fiji is the hub of the region.

Brazil’s Honorary Councilor to Fiji Nouzab Fareed has confirmed that within six months, they will increase their presence in the country, especially in the Health sector.

“Brazil is very famous in doing one important thing in the health sector . They take large branded medicine and requested for removal of so that the medicine becomes generic so that it’s cheap. They are very good in making common medicine maybe for cancer, kidney diseases and make it affordable.”

Fareed says the non-resident Brazilian Ambassador based in Canberra, Australia recently visited Fiji and that they are keen to assist in areas of Education, Agriculture, Housing and the Maritime sector.

Fareed says they’re also keen to assist Fiji with technical football coaches.
