Aspen Medical Pty Limited has promised to provide the best specialist to train nurses once they become operational in the country.

The Australian company will be involved in the daily running of the Ba and Lautoka Hospitals from mid-2020.

General Manager Annette Owttrim says the training is limited to Fiji and they want to see improvement in this area.

“Aspen will undertake to train all of our nurses in their particular specialty area, so that means onsite training in areas such as critical care, emergency, medical and surgical nursing, orthopedics, mental health, midwifery, operating theater, each one of those area is a specialty in itself”.

Owttrim assured nurses that they will be given opportunities to continue studying and also become part of the international Aspen family.
