“Health on Wheels” project focuses rural dwellers

The Sai Prema Foundation is embarking on an Outreach programme called ‘Health on Wheels’ to cater for rural dwellers.

Foundation Medical Coordinator, Dr. Krupali Tappoo says the project allows them to reach out to communities and provide medical services to those in need.

Dr. Tappoo says the Foundation is working in association with the Health Ministry.

“We take a fully equipped team of doctors, dentists, physio, pharmacists, and even the IT and women’s wellness so that we can do screenings and preventative care and also to treat patients as well.”

Dr. Tappoo says they are currently focusing on Tailevu area and will look at Navua later this year.
