Unity Fiji Party Leader Savenaca Narube in a Diwali message to all Fijians says the country is celebrating this year at the doorstep of our most critical national election in history.

Diwali he says embodies the victory of good over evil and light over darkness and that it is his heartfelt prayer that Fiji will choose a leader that will bring peace to every family and one guided by the beacons of Diwali.

Narube says for those that are leaders of political parties, they must be accountable to the people, respect all people, must be inclusive and must uphold transparency and good governance.

Adding that we must practice democracy at all levels of our lives and must aspire to unite all races through tolerance and understanding.

Diwali he says is a time for renewal, to make a fresh start and re-examine ourselves which are very apt for this election.

The Unity Fiji Leader, adding that their party makes a pledge to leave no one behind.
