Habitat for Humanity embarks on a Youth BUILD Program

For the first time, Habitat for Humanity Fiji will be joining 16 other Asia-Pacific countries, in the Habitat Youth BUILD program which will run from December 2014 to March 2015.

In Suva, a live demonstration model build of two homes will take place in Sukuna Park on the 16th and 17th of December which will involve over 200 local youths and is open to the public.

The non-profit charitable trust, already has scheduled builds for the Yasawa group, Nadi, Lautoka and Vanua Levu in 2015.

Habitat for Humanity Fiji Director Masi Latianara says they are pleased to be apart of the effort to eliminate poverty through adequate housing.

Beginning their operations in Fiji in 1991, Habitat for Humanity has provided housing solutions to 4,500 families through building constructions, rehabilitation’s, and critical home repairs.
