“Last month we collected $40,000 in total and we’re encouraging our 13,000 plus customers that are residing on HA leased land, to come forward and pay their ground rent and make use of this discount.”

Those who fail to pay up will be taken to task.

“Some of this includes, first of all, uploading their names into the credit data bureau, after that, another option that we might look to explore, is to take these people through legal action, through the small claims tribunal. And as a last resort of course, we would cancel the lease by re-entry.”

Meanwhile the first 81 HIGH END lots have been completed at the Tacirua East Stage 2 subdivision and the Expression of Interest tender application opened this week.
