HA to develop Matavolivoli Stage 2 subdivision

Housing Authority of Fiji has awarded an 8-point-5 million dollar contract to Nand’s Civil Contracting Limited to develop Matavolivoli Stage 2 in Nadi.

A total of 420 new lots will be developed at the site and the first 250 lots are expected to be ready by the end of the year.

The remaining 170 lots will be ready next year.

Housing Authority’s chief executive, Joshua Wycliffe says the contract signing is a significant event and illustrated the Authority’s commitment to realizing its vision of “Helping Fijians Own affordable Homes.

The authority’s acting board chairman, Ashok Balgovind says they intend to spend fifteen million dollars every quarter for the development of new subdivisions.

Balgovind says they intend to spend money to ensure the authority provides more affordable housing and land to Fijians.
