A father is still trying to come to terms with the loss of his son and grandsons.

Kamta Prasad while speaking to FBC News says he never knew that he was seeing his grandsons for the last time yesterday morning when he was heading out to the hospital as he had suffered a minor heart attack earlier last week.

Prasad’s grandchildren aged three and five years were discovered motionless in their family car last night.

A few meters away their father was found dead after allegedly taking his own life.

The alleged murder-suicide happened in Namau, Ba.

Deeply saddened by the tragic death of his son and grandsons Prasad could not control his tears as he described his last meeting with them.

“I left home around 7.50am and he left home between 9 and 9.15am. He was taking both the kids for shopping. He said he will buy them new clothes and toys and will have lunch outside with the kids.”

Emotional Prasad has described his son as a hardworking and friendly person.

“He was a good person you can ask the neighbors they will tell you. He never indulged in fights etc. He was a bus driver. Every morning he would leave every morning around 5.30 and come back around 7. At the moment he was staying home.”

Meanwhile, Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the initial information gathered which is still subject to further investigation, is that the children were part of an ongoing custody battle.

Naisoro says the post-mortem examinations of the three victims will be conducted soon.
