A grandfather has been jailed for 10-years 8 months by the Suva High Court.

He was found guilty on one count of indecently annoying a person and one count of rape by the High Court.

The incident happened in 2013 between January and June.

The Court heard that the man called his granddaughter to his bedroom where he indecently assaulted and raped her.

He will be eligible for parole after serving 9 years.
