The Grand Coalition, the brain child of Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and COP23 President will come to live at the Global Action Summit in California at the end of this month.
Since day one of his presidency, Bainimarama had sought to forge the Grand Coalition which aims to unite national governments, states, regions, cities, businesses, and ordinary citizens to put the entire planet on course to stave off the worst climate impacts.
Bainimarama says from there he will carry our message for action and greater, more ambitious commitment to New York for the UN General Assembly.
He adds he will continue to press our case all the way up to our handover of the Presidency at COP24 in Poland.
Bainimarama will, as COP23 President, host the Summit along with California Governor Jerry Brown.
