GPH nears completion

The reconstruction of the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva and the construction of the new facilities alongside the grand old lady are near completion.

The project operating under the name Grand Pacific Hotel Limited is a partnership between the National Superannuation Fund of Papua New Guinea, CGA Properties and the Fiji National Provident Fund.

Company Secretary Neil Underhill says in a statement, that most accommodation and conference facilities have been built and is now
in finishing mode.

The facilities swimming pool is one hundred percent complete and will be commissioned anytime soon.

Practical completion is scheduled for end of December with the hotel opening for business on March 1st 2014.

Lack of cement late last year affected work on the GPH, however the Contractor managed to remain within the original construction period.
