Government wants more from FNU

The government is looking forward to more submissions from the Fiji National University in capacity building, development and more quality programs.

Speaking at the Fiji National University Open Day, Education Minister Dr. Mahendra Reddy told students that such events offer a closer look at their various career paths.

Reddy says changes are important for FNU to bring the best out students.

‘’We understand that in order to have quality university you need to attract quality staff, last year there was changes to staff salary, this year again there will be changes to staff salary so that we continue to retain quality staff within the university as well attract staff outside the market where we can get quality staff from’’.

The Minister also says educating students to become successful in life is the FNU’s main priority.
