The Government wants to see more educational programmes and local content with additional channels coming online via digital TV services from today.
Trials have begun between the Nausori to Lami corridor with Fiji Broadcasting Corporation and Fiji TV running two channels each.
Communications minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says this is the perfect opportunity to push for a more knowledgeable Fiji.
“We want to see more educational types programs too, not necessarily the formal education can be part of it but also in education in terms of climate change in respect with the Agricultural sector”
