The government will soon receive written submissions to start off their preparation for the National Budget, which will be announced on 6th November.
Minister for Finance Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says views and submissions from the people are vital before the budget.
‘’We are going to have three consultations one in Suva, Lautoka and Labasa on people’s input to come and make verbal representations on what they would like to see in the budget’’.
A major component for the budget announcement is the annual revenue collection from the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority.
However, FRCA is optimistic they are going to meet their target of 3.1 billion dollars worth of revenue collection.
