Government is currently working behind the scenes through the Ministry of Finance to look at the processes involved in carrying out government projects.
Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum made the comment while awarding the tender of the construction of the Ba Hospital to Yanjian Company Fiji Limited.
Sayed-Khaiyum says in line with a growing economy there will be changes on how government will carry out specific projects.
Generally in government there has been poor decades of tendency that once the government architect has approved a particular project, its given to one out-sourced architect then that company goes out and gets the consultant and that funding rest with that particular company.
Sayed-Khaiyum says that government will also look at utilizing more private sectors organizations to work on government projects and thorough process needs to be followed.
He says one of the good things in using private sectors is that they have direct access to many consultants.
