The Government will continue to challenge the deeply entrenched attitude that are holding women back in our society.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama highlighted this while opening the Ba Women’s Forum.

Bainimarama says they will fight back against the forces of repression to give women the opportunity they deserve.

" We are going to continue to put our money where it matters in initiatives that uplift women and grant them unprecedented access to new opportunities."

The Prime Minister says a collective approach is needed to protect and empower every woman in the country.

Bainimarama says the government will continue to ensure Gender equality is one of the key pillars of the country’s development.
