The government will continue with developments being carried out around the country despite attempts by certain people to derail these.
Local Government Minister Parveen Kumar Bala made these comments as the government contributed half a million dollars towards the refurbishment of Tikaram Park in Lami this morning.
Bala says the government will continue to move forward.
“While we are going forward taking our country ahead, we have some elements in our community who want to derail the system but we will continue with the good work.”
Bala did not disclose who the critics are.
Meanwhile, Lami Town Council Special Administrator Jasper Singh says the facelift for the Tikaram Park will include a senior citizens Park, a podium and a recreation park.
The face lift will take about five months and the new look park is expected to re-open to the public at the end of the year.
