The Fiji Sugar Corporation has thanked the Government for its continuous support towards the industry in the country.

FSC Executive Chair, Abdul Khan, told FBC News that it is because of the support provided by the Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, and his Government that the sugar industry has improved significantly.

According to Khan if it would not have been for Government’s support, the industry would have virtually collapsed.

Khan says Government’s commitment to provide grant for cane development program, subsidy on fertilizers, cane access roads, farming equipment amongst other help, is highly appreciated by all sugar cane stakeholders.
