The Government has raised concerns on many of the employers who are exploiting their worker’s.

Speaking exclusively to FBC News Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says this is one area that government will need to focus on and employers will be taken to task if they are found guilty of this act.

“Will be very much you know in the next year and the following years be focusing through Ministry of Labour in generally a lot of areas where employers tend to exploit a lot of their workers, sometimes they don’t pay them on time, sometimes they have issues about FNPF and non-payment of FNPF we are very concerned about that and that will be the area of focus.”

While the economy is growing, Sayed-Khaiyum says it is vital to look after the welfare of workers as they are the major contributing factor towards our growth.

Sayed-Khaiyum says government will ensure that there is stability in Labour relations.
