The government is in talks with Australia to develop a particular program with the Fiji National University.

Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says this is the course to get people certified in age-care.

Sayed-Khaiyum says this is a good course as a lot of Fijians living in America are in this field.

“As you know many of our people work, a lot of women work in the West Coast of North America, California and places like that doing age care some legally, some illegally. There’s a demand for it and they are quite good at it.”

Sayed-Khaiyum adds if there’s full health care facilities available in the country, then it creates an industry in itself.
