Government approves phase three of Housing Project

The hovernment has given the Peoples Community Network (PCN) the green light to carry out phase three of the Lagilagi Housing Project at Jittu Estate in Vatuwaqa Suva.

The works will cost thirteen million dollars.

PCN Director Semiti Qalowasa says this will enable more Fijians living in informal settlements to have proper housing in Lagilagi.

Works start later this year.

“Phase two will be seventy six, phase three will be one hundred fifty homes and phase four we are expecting to build about two hundred and eighty so when we finish phase five there is about 800 units build for the people of Jittu.”

Qalowasa says people living in the phase three areas are ready to relocate so that that the project goes ahead.
