The Government is adamant that assistance will be given to those who were affected by the recent flooding in Nawaka.

Official Litiana Baleinabuli says assistance will be directed through the Home Care Initiative as officers are working around the clock to roll out the assistance.

“Yesterday it was very challenging as we had a big crowd but we have strategized and we have to venues so that we could address the crowd capacity here in Nawaka.”

Baleinabuli says at least 400 people were assisted yesterday as they received their topped up cards from Vodafone Fiji.

The Home Care Initiative currently available in Nawaka will wrap up tomorrow.
