Goundar Shipping welcomes Lomaiviti Princess Five

The Goundar Shipping Limited today welcomed its fifth ship which will be the largest ship to provide services to maritime areas.
Director George Goundar says the new vessel- Lomaiviti Princess 5 will ease transportation in the maritime islands especially with the upcoming festive season.
The 130 meter long ship berthed at the capital city this morning and Goundar says its services will roll out soon.
“This will be the largest ship ever brought into Fiji, its 130 metres so it carries about 194 vehicles and the capacity of carrying a 1500 passengers, once you go on board, you see the facility we have on board, it’s like a five star hotel, the washroom, the kids play are, the facilities, the kids play area, the restaurant, I hope the traveling public maintains that.”
The $2.5million vessel will serve the people of Savusavu daily and Kadavu twice a week.
The vessel will begin its service on the 12th of next month.
