Gold and new Pacific Games record for Tabakaucoro

Banuve Tabakaucoro has set a new Pacific Games 100 meters record.
The Bau bullet retained his Pacific Games gold medal in a new time of 10.31 seconds breaking his own record of 10.33 seconds.
Tabakaucoro beat favorite Jeremy Dodson the USA based athlete of Samoa.

Tabakaucoro says he didn’t even expect to win because he has been out of athletics for two years.
His coach Bola Tafou says Tabakaucoro is definitely back.
Tony Lemeki finished 4th for Fiji in the 100 meters.
Meanwhile, Heleina Young won silver in the women’s 100 meters.
Toea Wisil of Papua New Guinea retained her 100 meters gold medal
