The Water Authority of Fiji is advising motorists travelling along roads in the greater Nadi and Lautoka area to give way to water carting trucks during the disruption period from today till Tuesday.
The Authority urges motorists to follow traffic rules and be patient as water carting trucks are being deployed to cart water to affected areas.
WAF Board Director, Kamal Gounder says more than one hundred trucks are being deployed around Nadi and Lautoka to cart drinking water to major services and to the Fijians who are affected by the Nagado Water Shut down.
Gounder adds that there may be traffic congestion during peak time.
Members of the public can contact toll-free number 1507 to report any rude driver behaviour during the disruption period.
