A foreign national is in police custody following a raid at an apartment complex in Nadi yesterday.

Police say white substances believed to be cocaine was seized by members of the Western Division Taskforce.

The German national was arrested following information received of the suspect’s alleged involvement in drugs.

A small plastic containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana as well as local and foreign currencies were also seized.

A Fijian woman believed to be the suspect’s partner was also taken in for questioning as investigations continue.

Meanwhile, in a separate raid conducted over the weekend, a man believed to be in his 50s was arrested at a hotel in Nadi following information about drug-related activities.

White substances believed to be methamphetamine and dried leaves believed to be marijuana as well as smoking apparatus were seized as well.
