Opposition MP Viliame Gavoka will not withdraw his petition regarding the change of Nadroga/Navosa Primary School into a technical college.

Education Minister Mahendra Reddy met with the students’ parents on the weekend to clear any wrong perceptions about the proposed change.

Gavoka told FBC News, he will not change anything in the petition as there are issues that need to be addressed.

‘’The Petition will stay and I will like it to go through the proper channel, to go through the Parliamentary Committee. My take is that the vast majority is against the conversion of the school’’.

Reddy informed the parents of the importance of changing the school into a technical college.

The Ministry of Education says the establishment of technical colleges will help up-skill unemployed young people so that they can find employment
