April 24, 2012 5:54 am

Thirty five farmers on Gau Island in Lomaiviti are putting into practice the trade of incorporating sustainable land farming practices into their daily farming activities.

The practice follows the training organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature and the Ministry of Agriculture held in Sawaike village last month.

The workshop was aimed at conserving the top soil and reduces the negative impacts of land based activities on freshwater and marine resources.
