Ganesh Chand pleads not guilty

Former Fiji National University Vice Chancellor Dr. Ganesh Chand has pleaded not guilty to the charges laid against him by the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

Dr Chand appeared at the Suva High Court before Judge Justice Priyantha Fernando this morning.

He is charged with Abuse of Office by for allegedly approving payments for overseas medical treatment for the then Minister of Education, Filipe Bole.

The matter has been adjourned until 10th November, when the pre-trial conference will begin.
