The work includes the laying of kilometres polyethylene submarine pipes from the main land that is the Lekutu Coastline to the island.

The Authority had done repairs to the existing pipeline from the mainland to Galoa Island in July.

During the cause of repairs, the crew members had discovered holes in the existing pipeline systems as a result of suspected tempering or fishing using spear-guns which caused a huge amount of water pressure loss.

The island is currently being serviced through water carting.
