There’s still no decision on the future of Rewa Bridge.
Nausori Town Council is still looking at possibilities to turn one of the oldest infrastructural icons in Fiji into a business venture.
She was built in 1937 and served the people of Fiji for more than 70 years.
Special Administrator of Nausori, Napolioni Masirewa says the question now is, will this piece of Rewa’s history stand.
Masirewa says proposals have already made and they just need the green light.
There is also talk of dismantling the bridge, even this exercise will cost over a million dollars.
The final decision on it will come from the government.
