Fuel prices drop, effective today

Fuel prices have dropped effective today.

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission’s CEO Joel Abraham announced the outcome of the review which has led to decreases across retail fuel prices and LPG products.

“The price of motor spirit, there’s a reduction of 15 cents, it moves from $2.24 to $2.09, the price of Premix also reduces by 15 cents, it goes down from $2.07 to $1.92. The price of kerosene, there’s a reduction of 9 cents. It goes down from $1.72 to $1.63. For diesel, there’s a reduction of 8 cents, it goes down from a $1.97 to $1.89.”

Decreases in the LPG prices will see the 4.5 kg cylinder now costing $13.81, down 74 cents, a 12 kg cylinder sees the biggest drop of $1.96, the new price being $36.84.

Bulk also drops 14 cents with a new price of $2.59 and Auto Gas per litre will now cost $1.74, down 9 cents.
