The Fiji Trades Union Congress national secretary Felix Anthony

The Fiji Trades Union Congress national secretary Felix Anthony has been released from police custody in the last hour.

Acting chief of intelligence and investigation ACP Bitukula Waqanui has confirmed this to FBC News.

Anthony was earlier taken in for questioning for allegedly breaching the Public Order Act.

Anthony was taken to the CID Headquarters in Suva for questioning on Wednesday.

ACP Waqanui says though Anthony has been released, investigations will continue in this case.

He was arrested by police officers from the FTUC Head Quarters.
