The Fiji Sugar Corporation aims to harvest and crush all cane delivered to the Labasa Mill before the crushing season ends next month.

FSC had predicted to crush more than half a million tonnes of cane at the Labasa Mill when the crushing began for this season.

The recent statistics provided by the corporation reveals the mill has already crushed over six hundred thousand tonnes of cane this season.

FSC Chief Operating Officer Naveen Chandra says he has visited Labasa couple of time in the recent days to get an update from the mill.

Meanwhile Sugar Cane Growers Council Chief Executive Sundresh Chetty will be in Labasa next week to ensure cane harvesting and delivery process in various areas.
