Ongoing campaign for World Sight Day sends a strong message for key policy makers to provide necessary resources.

Health Minister Rosy Akbar made the statement at the Eye Care Nurses Scope of Practice which was held in Suva this week in collaboration with the World Sight Day.

Akbar says access to free or low-cost eye exams is vital for people to maintain healthy eyes.

She says vast information on eye diseases should be provided to people.

Akbar has acknowledged the organizers of the event for their commitment towards raising awareness on how Fijians can look after their eyes.
