The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service will be migrating to a New Tax Information System soon.

Chief Executive, Visvanath Das says this is a self-service tax system operating on an online platform.

Dass adds it’s designed to assist the tax office provide a wider range of tax services.
It will also allow taxpayers experience and access the wide range of services in a more convenient way.

However, the tax-man says there will be a consultation process with business taxpayers on their expectations and views on the new system before a migration is called out.

The Revenue and Customs will be conducting stakeholder awareness next Wednesday and Thursday in Nasese, Suva.

There will also be similar awareness sessions nationwide.
