The Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority is investigating 2 employees for alleged collusion with a second hand car dealership.
Chief Executive JitokoTikolevu confirms an investigating team has been set up to ascertain the veracity of the allegations.
Tikolevu says both the car dealer and the employees will be taken into task, if the allegations are proven to be true.
“To find out the activity of the relevant company, because it may boil down to the fact that we may consider, terminations of license if it is true, termination definitely comes, there’s no hesitations, if our people are involved.”
Tikolevu says this is not the first time this has happened, as they have also terminated licenses in the past.
The officers implicated have 14 days to report back to the investigating team.
