“In our view, Fiji is one key partner on climate change, because it has been aware of climate change much before most countries in the world and it has been incredibly vocal and incredibly convincing. Now I guess that the majority of countries in the world align with Fiji’s concerns.”

Meanwhile, New Caledonia’s Envoy to Fiji, Rose Wete says expanding the cultural exchange program in Fiji will be one of her key priorities in addition to strengthening the people to people links.

Wete also notes that she will be working toward the formalization of relations between Fiji and New Caledonia through a joint framework agreement.
