The Fiji Roads Authority says they are keen on trialing bus lanes around the country.

FRA chief executive Jonathan Moore says this will be one way of curbing the traffic congestion issues.

FRA says the bus lane concept will be first trialed from Nausori to Suva City Centre before being implemented in other parts of the country.

“When we finish the whole Kings Road, we will place a blue lane on the road. This is will convenient and the lane will only be used by the buses and will be known as bus lane.”

Moore says the Authority is working with the Fiji Police Force and the Land Transport Authority in this regard.
