The Fiji Roads Authority is hoping the 2016 Budget announcement would see support from the government for the continuation of their projects.

This year alone FRA has resealed one hundred and forty kilometres of roads across the country.

FRA chief executive Neil Cook said despite being a relatively new company, it still has a long way to go.

“Neil Cook FRA CEO: "The signal we’ve seen in government over the last few years is a focus on infrastructure and we would obviously want this to continue. We are in our third year of operation and we have always said we are on a seven to ten year journey of recovery of the assets from a long period of under investment.”

Fiji Roads Authority received $653 million in capital grants in this year’s budget.

The 2016 Budget Announcement will be in Suva on November 6.
