Northern Division is currently experiencing communications difficulty and the Fiji Roads Authority is only able to get sketchy information at present for roads in and around Savusavu and Nabouwalu.

Limited communication with some Eastern division Islands is hindering FRA’s ability to ascertain damage.

The following is a summary of main roads and their status:

The Kings Road remains closed for links from Tavua to Rakiraki and the Yaqara Bridge.

Also closed are jetties in Savusavu, Nabouwalu, the two jetties on Taveuni and Koro Island.

However, roads that are open include the Labasa to Savusavu Hiway, Labasa to Nabouwalu and the Kings bridge from Lautoka to Yaqara bridge and Yaqara to Suva.

FRA is advising people to drive cautiously.
